Afrika-Verein, the German-African Business Association, in cooperation with Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation, has the honor to invite you to the 18^th edition of the German-African Energy Forum (GAEF) on March 17^th, 2025 in Berlin. For the first time the forum will take place on the sidelines of the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue (BETD) which is hosted by the German Government on March 18^th & 19^th, 2025.

Energy projects in Africa are as diverse as the continent itself – in size, technology and objective. The common factor is often access to finance and challenges of implementation. This is why we want to utilize the strong network we built in the past 18 years to create impact for African energy projects. We will address risk mitigation and financing, country focused energy- (and technology-) mix solutions, energy transition and innovation.

To maximize the outcome and follow the claim of the conference “Projects, Finance, Future – Implementing Energy Projects in Africa”, we will change the format of this year’s forum. Since the BETD, one day after our event, will serve as a big international stage for political message, we chose to host a few selected, focused sessions and well prepared high-level round tables instead.

The more intimate nature of the sessions will give you our participants the opportunity to address needs and challenges honest and openly with stakeholders from private and public sector, development cooperation, science and financiers.
